Upcoming Meetings of Interest to NW Members :

Citizens Advisory Committee (CAC) meets the 1st Tuesday of each month from

7:30 - 8:30pm at the West Springfield Police Distric Station on 6140 Rolling Road, Springfield VA.  22152

PLEASE ATTEND IF POSSIBLE - KPWNW PARTICIPATION AT TH E CAC PUTS

THE FACE TO THE NAME "KPWNW" with FAIRFAX COUNTY POLICE

Scheduler:  Responsible for:

  • putting the NW car patrol schedule together 1 week from the current week and beyond
  • for contacting NW members to ensure patrols are paired up and their preferences considered

Dispatcher:  Responsible for:

  • providing the NW logs/lights/box before a car patrol; gathering the completed NW logs/lights/box; making contact with NW members, block captains and zoning/police on time critical issues

Police Ride A Longs (PRALs):
NW members, this is YOUR opportunity to:

  • put the KPW face to the name with the West Springfield Police.
  • learn about the Police Service Areas; learn about being on the receiving end of complaints.
  • NWC  has the form now electronically to fill out for you.  CAPT Hill, the West Springfield Station Commander approves your request.

 Graffiti “Gang”:Rob Veale, John Satre, Sean Wilson, Jim Jindra, and possibly 1-2 more have stepped forward to work the graffiti/tagging issue in KPW.  NWC will cover the responsibilities of each at the March NW All Hands.

  • 2nd Tuesday of each month @ Braddock District Supervisors Office (Adjacent to Kings Park Library on Burke Lake Road7:30pm – 8:30pm
  • Mr. John Cook, Elected official as Braddock District Supervisor
  • Other members of HOAs/Civic Associations in the Braddock District
